"We climb, we conquer, we endure!"

Parlick house takes its name from the striking Parlick Fell and is proudly represented by the Ram. The ram symbolizes strength, resilience, and determination—qualities that inspire students to face challenges head‑on and support one another. Members of Parlick House are encouraged to embody courage and perseverance in both their studies and wider school life.

Our house motto, “We climb, we conquer, we endure,” was chosen because it perfectly reflects the spirit and identity of our house. Named after Parlick Fell, a challenging and iconic hill, the motto symbolizes determination, resilience, and achievement, qualities that define our community. Just as climbing a fell requires effort and perseverance, we believe success comes through hard work and endurance. The Ram, our emblem, represents strength and courage, reinforcing the idea that we face challenges head-on and never give up. This motto was selected through a vote by all form tutors in the house, ensuring it truly represents our shared values and aspirations.
