Congratulations Year 11 on your fabulous GCSE results!

You have done yourselves, your families and the school proud!

Year 11 students at Longridge High School celebrated GCSE success with very pleasing results. Many students achieved outstanding grades and there were excellent individual successes for many young people. Progress across all subjects has significantly improved on the previous year.

Head Teacher Jane Green said, ‘We are very proud of all our young people and their achievements. We are delighted that the number of our young people achieving standard and strong passes in English and Maths has increased by up to 20%. A significant number of young people also achieved the top grade 9 across several subjects.’

Chair of Governors Jane Beckford said, ‘LONGRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL is a school where every pupils’ progress matters to us, and all pupils are given the opportunity to gain GCSE qualifications. We are pleased to say that our 2018 school leavers have successfully achieved their next step in life, whether it be college, apprenticeship or employment, supported by the qualifications achieved at LHS. These GCSE results endorse Ofsted’s view that the school is ambitious for all its young people and the school’s work is having a positive impact on progress. ‘

Mrs Green said, ‘On behalf of all the staff and Governors, I would like to say thank you to all the families of Year 11 for working with us so closely over the past five years, and wish our leavers all the very best for the future.’
